This is possibly my favorite movie of all time. It's an overlooked classic.

I watched the movie again after not watching it for several weeks and again saw something new----to me anyway.
When the Waponi with the telescope is drinking his can of Jump soda he is drinking from the "P" end of the can-the top.
During the bathing scene, after Joe has purple powder blown in his face, purple liquid pours from the "J" end of the can-the bottom!
I checked this by freezing the best frame and zooming up so I could see that this is, indeed, the concave bottom of the can.
I have no idea what this means.
Any suggestions?

while re-watching at few days ago my family and I were wonder what the significance of "941" above dr. ellison's office was
When I read this, it occurred to me that the dimensions of the black slab in "2001: A Space Oddysey" are given as 1 by 4 by 9 (the squares of 1, 2 and 3).
Maybe there's a tie-in there, maybe not.

I was just defending this movie as it was being savaged in a forum. I loved it the first time I saw it, and am determined to buy it on DVD if possible.
It's been years since seeing the opening of the movie which instantly captured my heart.
Happy to see so many other Joe fans.

Shortly after meeting the man who would become my husband, he and I were hanging out at his house, and he asked if I wanted to watch a movie. "Sure...what do you have?" "Joe Versus the Volcano, Titanic..." and he rattled off a few others. I picked "Joe" and his face fell in shock. "Are you kidding me?" "No, I love that movie. I haven't seen it in years..." Instead of having him at "hello", I had him at "joe"... Glad to know he isn't the only one who watches JVTV daily at some times in his life, and at least monthly religiously. He will be thrilled to know about this site...Thanks!

I will not try to name all the things I like; Just my favorite scene. Joe on the raft as the moon comes up. I spent time in the Pacific and will NEVER forget how beautiful it is. That said; does ANYONE know where I can get a copy of the full version of the Spanish version of "On the Street Where You Live"? I have been craving that song for years.
