Hey "Joe" fans! I was fortunate enough to choreograph the dances for the musical adaptaion of this movie at the Univ. of Washington back in 2002. The music by Scott Hafso and Darcy Phillips is TRULY glorious and inspiring and we sold out the entire two-week run. Why this musical hasn't been taken to a larger stage is beyond me.

This movie is loaded with sybolism throughout, as is every great fairy tale. Regarding the 941 address, one interpretation couldbe that the numbers correspond the the letters "I - D - A" in the alphebet. When you pronounce them, it is almost like saying "IDEA".
Or pronounced in another way, it could be "I'da" (or "I would have"). That's one interpretation. There may be others as well! Good luck finding them.

There's always a bit more to learn about JVTV. Several days ago I was watching Magnum, p.i. He was driving down the coast of his Hawaiian island when suddenly I realised that this was the same stretch of road as Joe and Angelica drive from the L.A. Airport into town-the part that looks a lot like the lightning/corkscrew symbol. This is where Angelica asks--how he likes L.A.? and Joe responds that it seems a phoney but that he likes it.

L.A. Airport is surrounded by city-one does not drive the coast to reach L.A. from the airport. And, that coast is Hawaii-not California.

No wonder it seems phoney! And, no wonder that he likes it!

Wonderful!

This is the place I've been looking for since 1990. Glad I finally found it.

Sarah wrote: "when i feel helpless and alone and afraid, Joe shows me that sometimes at the end of a long crooked road happiness and/or miricles await."
That's very true. Of course, we also need to face our fears. Joe was wasting his life running away from his fears, but Mr. Graynamore forced him to face them. Then the miracles started happening.

I love your site. I've been a Joe versus the Volcano fan for years. I had an old VHS copy I made off of HBO that was so grainy, it got difficult to watch, but I still did! When the DVD came out, I bought it the day it was released. It rocks.
