Thanks for this wonderful site.
I just saw the movie for the first time this week upon a reccomendation from someone I trust and it was an wonderful experience:
-looks to be an esoteric message released into popular culture a la Gurdjieff
-Brought to mind Shakespeare's 'Tempest' (the 3 sisters=Caliban, Ariel & Miranda!)
-Clearly related to Kurosawa's 'Ikiru' which might be remade by Spielberg & Hanks
Keep up the good work!

Have you tried searching e-bay for the poster? Seems there is always a JVTV poster and even press kits on e-bay.
Hope this helps.

Great website! I've been trying to remember the words to the cowboy song, I sing it to my kids when their taking a bath or going to bed. It's just kind of a peaceful tune.
Does'nt that whole stranded scene remind you a bit of CastAway???

To: Jane
My other two favorite movies are The Truman show and Ferris Bueler's Day Off.
As best I can remember, the words at that part go like this: (I know it's freaky I know them, but I've just seen the movie so much!)
I've been too chicken sh*t afraid to live my life so I sold it to you for three hundred freakin' dollars a week! You're lucky I don't kill you! You're lucky I don't rip your freakin' throat out! But I'm not going to and maybe
you're not so lucky at that. 'Cause I'm gonna leave you here, Mister Wa-a-Waturi, and what could be worse than that?

I need to get the setting of the scene where Joe's telling off Mr WaWaWaTuri...ends up with ..leaving you here...what could be worse than that.
Anyone know the lines well enough to help?

First of all, let me say that I too, love this movie. I just happened upon this website while performing a search for something else JVTV related. So I thought maybe perhaps someone could help me. I'm trying to locate a movie poster for this movie. Tom Hanks is my all time, hands down, favorite actor, of all times (including past greats who have since passed on). His style, versatility and talent are beyond compare. Not to mention that he is a genuinely nice man who has morals and character. Anyway, I already have movie posters for some of his other works, and was hoping to find a poster for this movie. Thanks to anyone who can help. :)

This is absolutely my favorite movie of all time. I practically have every line memorized- or so I thought. I just watched it again last night with a friend of mine who'd never seen it. It was the first time in a while for me. Still, I actually found myself starting to cry in a couple of parts. Amazing that it can still affect me that way after so many viewings. So perfectly simple, yet so amazingly epic.
