This my favorite movie of all time. I connect so much emotionally with Tom Hank's character Joe.

American Histories

They were like clouds, only damper
moving in. You’re the only person
I know. This too shall pass strangers
as vipers in the grass. They strain
to be heard, their sleekness
between the blades. Wind gusts up
to extinctual miles per hour. The wrinkles,
more than years, arrive without invitation
creasing up what once was smooth
sailing. I refuse to let on
that I know. I don’t know
and you can never not know.
I’m starting to sound like someone
who may be stuck in the past,
unable to leave the trenches of who
still moves among me triggering
the lightest duties in premonitions
that I might only ever show
the beginnings of things, leaving
the rest up to the outside players,
actors hired without proper audition.
After the viewing, I’d finally reveal
the long distance world though
even I don’t eventually believe it.

I was searching for Google for info about the Delarue soundtrack, and I found this site. I have adopted JVTV as my favorite film, and it's nice to find that there are so many others who have such affection for it!

Hey guys and gals. Thanks to the folks at Puzzles 'n Games, a spam-free, pop-up free, ad-free guestbook is ours! An advantage to this one is I have complete control over the entries so you shouldn't be seeing some of the sleaze that started to infect the GlobalGuest site.

So write away with your thoughts on the movie.

For many years I was absolutely alone in thinking this movie was a masterpiece. I saw it at the cinema, and it touched something fundamental already at the first viewing. Since then I've seen it approx. fifty times. My friends still don't get it. Therefore I was very happy when I back in 96 found the first Joe-site. I wasn't alone. The state this site is in now is fantastic. Good work! By the way, my favourite interpretation of the movie is the Kirkegaard/Sartre Existentialism-interpretation.
