This movie changed my life. I saw for the first time as a child and attained a copy of it five years ago - I watch it, at least, three times+ a month.
I recently attended the NAACP Image Awards in LA and had a chance to meet Meg Ryan - but, at the last moment, I was unable to. It has been a goal in my life to meet JP Shanley, Tom Hanks, and Meg Ryan to tell them how greatly this movie has effected my life.
Friends and family think I'm crazy, but this will always be my favorite movie.

I first discovered Joe years ago and immediately it became a favorite. I have friends who think I'm nuts for showing so much interest. But between us, a person either understands it or they do not. There is no inbetween ground. I'm ecstatic now that a soundtrack has been released. Take care all.

I was actually watching something else on TV and then the movie came on... I saw Tom Hanks, my favorite actor in the entire world!!, and decided to leave it. It was a great movie and made me think about how precious life is and everything like that. I then came here online to just get a pic from the movie and stumbled upon this site, with the symbolism. It's so true! I love it! This movie was a lot different than I thought it would be in the first few minutes, but I'm glad, bc it's now my favorite~

I loved this movie the first time I saw it. I never understood why I liked it so much. I was 15 when it came out and just thought it was great. And while in the Marines I could watch it to get through the times in which I had thought I lost myself. I am just glad I am not the only one that loved it's message.

I was working at the Computer Games division of Lucasfilm when this film was first released so I was invited to see it prior to release. Silly thing is I didn't go, too much work to do, but a buddy did. When I asked him what he thought all he would say is: "YOU would like it"
Truer word have never been spoken.
Thanks for the great site!

This is my all time favorite movie. I am amazed that someone created this page. It is great!
Thanks for the essays, and the original script. I enjoyed Ebert's review of the movie, I never knew that he gave it a good one.
Thanks again.

When I first saw the movie i thought it was good and thought nothing else. When someone at my work told me of the secret meanings of the movie i watch it again and realize it was true. also when i watch it brought up two question that i nor my friend could answer. one the lady and the dog. Joe runs into this several times.. two the office joe goes in to find out he has a brain cloud. 941 is the number and they do a close up on that so i want to know what that means anyway i like the other speculations and make sense. so if anyone knows my quesion just email spoonmn56@yahoo.com

The first time I saw Joe, I was not that thrilled. But, by the time I saw it the 5th time I knew it was something great! What a movie! There it is!
