I was looking for sounds for his movie, I'm glad you had them. I think the basic description of the story is much simpler than you suggest. We all know that Joe has a lousy job, he hated his job (along was his life). It took someone to tell him that he was dying to give up that security of that job he hated for him to take a risk in life and do what he really loved. Taking that first risk, was the start of him taking more, as the more he took the easier it became to take another. Suggesting to the fact, that taking the easiest and more secure route is not always the best for anyone as you see in the end.

You know, youwould think a guy who spends the time to actually write original songs for a movie he writes and produces would be willing to do an AUDIO COMMENTARY for the DVD! :-)
ok, I'll take Bruce Campbell's words to heart.
Here is the big difference; you see when a studio puts out a DVD, they have to be tormented to add the materials the filmmaker wants on it, because they just want to spit it out and take your money, but a studio like Anchor Bay is much more consumer friendly and they know what the people want. They know we want the cool stuff, the extras, the missing scenes and the rough cuts, the interviews and the behind the scenes and they already add it in.

Thank you for sharing!
Why is my heart marooned without you
The sun goes down
My dreams begin their refrain
I call to whatever holds you
My beloved
I wait and I wait
Why is my heart marooned without you
A tiny light upon the sea
My heart is so afraid
You have broken away
Tell me, darling, I pray
You will come to me soon

I saw this movie years ago when it first came out. I forgot about it until recently. The company I work for was bought out last year. With the changes that were made over the last year the place reminds me of Joe's office. I sure can use one of those lamps Joe had on his desk.
I was trying to remember the song used in the beginning of the movie. So I surfed the net and camem upon this site.
When I listened to "sixteen tons" and heard people walking thru the mud and then hearing Joe's boss & the flourescent lights buzzing, In sat here shaking my head & laughing.....JUST LIKE IT IS AT WORK!!!!

Jason, I agree with your observations on the new guestbook. Not so much on the ads since I use an ad blocker, but on the loss of all those great comments in the old book. So I just jotted off an email to Richard, the creator of the site, and asked if he'd pass along his password to the old guestbook. Of course the two pages worth of comments here would be lost if we do move back....oh well, can't win. If we move back, I'll post something on the Joe site.
Meanwhile, assuming I do get access to the old guestbook, I'd like to hear all of your thoughts on whether to move back.
DVD countdown: 6 weeks, 5 days <g>

Sorry everyone - really don't like the new guestbook. The longer, more dreamy comments of old were much better. Also, it is a real shame to lose the history of all those previous letters. Still, as this new book fills up maybe it will become special too.
One prob though. It is rather ugly and full of spam - so unlike the rest of the site, which is very pretty indeed. Needs reshaping I'm afraid. Still, hi to all those Joe fans. Good to know you're not alone isn't it!!!
