Loved the movie, and for a long time I thought that I was beginning to think that I the only one who saw the allegorical references. Thanks for a great interpretation of the film, characters and its symbolism. Since the soundtrack is sold-out, have you any suggestions for a possible source?

Hey John - There is an interview with Shanley (director of "Joe")on this website where he states the lamp was built for the movie and not just bought and used. A lot of "Joe" fans would like such a lamp. I have looked some and haven't found any that turn and play music. They do have "hula lamps" which are similar in appearance you can purchase. If you find one, let us know. JVTV fans would love to have one. Take care and good luck.

The Waponies were fond of orange soda. I always laugh when I think of the silly costumes that were made for them in the movie. They must have had a blast doing them. Also, the two guys crashing into the cymbals and then being carried off is just too funny. I hope there is a Waponi tribe somewhere and that they have as much fun as the ones in the movie. Of course, we can always visit them when we watch JVTV.
