Love your website. I'am a world history teacher in a High School and I actually dedicate four days of instruction to Joe vs. The Volcano and Existentialism...Love it. If you have anymore info on that would love to see it.

Thanks

I've loved this movie from the moment I saw it in the theater. Thanks for building a great website. If anyone has a gif of the American Panascope logo, I'd love a copy.

How do? I'm a screenwriter myself and J.P. Shanley has been a constant source of inspiration to me. JVTV blew me away 10 years ago and only a couple people in my lifetime ever understood that. I wrote a paper on it for my film class in college. My film teacher was baffled as to why an ambitious, intelligent person would do a paper on such a silly movie. Mine was the only paper to receive an 'A.' (Take that!) Anyway, I hope to have this essay printed on this web site. I believe this will be the year of "Joe" on DVD. I own it on laserdisc, but the quality of the picture is deteriorating. By the way, the only way to watch JVTV is letterboxed.

Good and bad news for those looking for the
dramatic score to Joe. I`ve located a CD-R
with 6 tracks running 23:53 with JUST some of
the Georges Delerue score (including some music
cut from the film). The bad news is the soundis fair to poor with overmodulation on many loud
passages. E-mail me if you are interested in
this music (I don`t have a CD-R burner).

Perhaps Joe Vs. The Volcano is one of the best movies ever made because it is about average working stiffs who are awake in their environments and understand that there is a certain injustice to being there.

I compiled a soundtrack to Joe Vs. The Volcano and captured a couple of the tracks from VHS which makes not for great quality, but adequate quality. I sit and wonder if they are going to bring us a DVD version of the Volcano…

Any site devoted to this movie is a positive in my book.
