Anyone know the name of the musicians and singer that performed "On the street where you live" in Spanish.

I also bought a DVD after watching the VHS many times. It certainly has a much better inmage. But, the widescreen aspect minimizes the size of the characters faces making it harder to see expressions. So, I watched the DVD only once.

To all the JVTV fans... I just found the DVD at a truck stop in NJ! I did not know it had been released, duh! I've owned the VHS for years. Also, thanks for the soundtrack/music! I put togther my own from what I could glean online, but this is awesome!

I'm so glad to find that others feel as strongly about this film as I do! I truly feel this film contains the meaning of life. Do what scares you!

Thank you so much - the whale scene had been driving me crazy, but I only saw Castaway once (not a fan of sad movies) and had forgotten. But, that is the scene we were thinking of . Thanks again!!

I think that last poster is thinking about Castaway with the whale, kinda similar scenes of Tom Hanks

I have loved the movie from the first time I saw it. However, when I bought the DVD, I was missing a part - or so my husband and I thought. Are we the only two people that remember Joe coming into contact with a whale while he was floating on the trunks? I remember seeing the whale come up and look at him. I believe it is when he is starting to be delusional, before he sees the moon. Are we completely thinking of a different movie? Thanks!

I did four years in the Navy and there were a couple of times in the South Pacific that I saw the moon close to the horizon. It wasn't quite as big as in the movie(obviously)but it was certainly something to behold. I immediately thought of JVTV.

I'm glad to see that at least one other person has mentioned "Stranger Than Fiction." I saw it a few nights ago, and throughout the entire movie I kept thinking, "this is just like 'Joe!'"
